Tesla Roadster source library and image credits
This library records the material behind Roadster Reference’s October 16, 2026 edition. The editorial articles are original source-based syntheses. We distinguish official statements, journalism reporting those statements, our explanations and unresolved claims.
Official reveal
Section titled “Official reveal”- Tesla’s “Roadster event livestream” post, posted October 15, 2026, 17:41 UTC.
- Tesla’s “Roadster transforms in Track Mode” post, posted October 16, 2026, 01:26 UTC. Source of the Road Mode video cover and Tesla’s active-wing statement.
- Official Tesla Roadster broadcast on X.
- Tesla Roadster product page, official destination for current regional information.
X’s public syndication response confirmed the author, post text and broadcast destination. Direct X navigation was unreliable, so the event sequence and specifications are attributed to reviewed reporting. The full video has not been independently reviewed frame by frame; no invented timestamps or first-hand observation claims appear here.
Tesla’s product and reservation pages returned 403 responses to this review. Configuration and deposit details are therefore attributed to the publications below. A failed fetch is a source-access limit, not proof that a page or specification does not exist.

- InsideEVs, Mack Hogan: configuration and deposit details, October 15, 2026. Source for Performance/Thrust/Rocket hardware and reported payment split.
Multiple reports of the same stage statement are corroboration of what was said, not multiple independent tests of its performance. Search feeds were used for discovery only; article bodies were read before claims were included.
Historical references
Section titled “Historical references”- Tesla’s first-generation Roadster document library: separates 2008, 2.0 and 2.5 manuals and charging documents. These manuals are for the original car.
- Wikipedia: first-generation Tesla Roadster: secondary cross-check for original production dates and historical identity.
- Car and Driver’s Roadster preview: reviewed to identify legacy concept estimates; not treated as a current specification source.
Editable summaries were not used to resolve unsupported new specification details. In particular, current battery/range fields remain unresolved where the reviewed event reports do not establish them.
Images, illustrations and branding
Section titled “Images, illustrations and branding”The first-generation photograph appears only in the historical comparison. Rutger van der Maar, “2008 Tesla Roadster front,” photographed at AutoRAI Amsterdam 2009, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 2.0. Wikimedia Commons file and source record. Processing: resized and converted to WebP; no claim that it depicts the October 2026 car.
The homepage and aerodynamics article use the cover image from Tesla’s October 16 “Roadster transforms in Track Mode” post. It is labelled “Road Mode” in the original. The reveal guide uses the broadcast artwork supplied with Tesla’s October 15 livestream post. Both images were traced to Tesla’s account through X’s public syndication metadata, resized without cropping and converted to AVIF/WebP. These are official promotional assets, not our photographs or independent test evidence. The social preview combines the Road Mode cover with an original editorial title panel.
Image copyright remains with Tesla. These images are reproduced for editorial reference; no Creative Commons license, Tesla endorsement or Tesla-issued permission is claimed. Each use links the original post. The full video remains linked on X and is not rehosted. No third-party news photograph was copied.
The airflow illustration and site symbol are original Roadster Reference graphics. The vehicle illustration is conceptual, not a scale drawing, leaked design or photograph. Tesla and SpaceX trademarks remain their owners’ property.
